![]() Looks interesting but I’m probably still eyeing the Condor XL. I imagine with the box shape & rugged design you could carry a decent amount of gear on it, but TBD if you’d have to remove it every time you open it. But like mentioned above, you might be limited with what you mount to it when navigating opening / closing. It’s not compatible with the standard awnings & annexes, but the first accessories that they’re working on are crossbars for the top and awning brackets. It’s significantly smaller than the XL, and is more of a 2-person tent vs the XL holding 4 Hey all, I reached out to Roofnest with a few questions and they gave a pretty quick and honest response. Get the normal one and a better roof rack. tools (shovels, axe, jack), lights, and maxtrax might work up there, but you would probably need to remove them before deploying the tent. Awning would be useless, roadshower would be difficult. Stuff that you probably WANT to put up there will not work nicely due to how it unfolds. Still questioning the benefit of the mounting rails. Honestly, probably not worth the extra 30 lbs of weight up on top of the vehicle compared to the condor also its shaped like a brick. Looks like the window awnings are a bit different in shape. Looks like the tent itself has different construction- struts are on the outside of the tent instead of on the inside not sure what the benefit of that is. The benefit that I see with the overland is the ability to mount other stuff to it, however you probably wont be able to mount a whole lot as the lid still needs to pivot up. This looks like the same footprint as the regular condor so if you want the extra space you probably still need to get the XL. I have a Condor XL on my land cruiser and I like it (with a few caveats). ![]()
